2008 Meetings And Events Calendar

Our regular meetings are generally on the second thursday of each month. Board meetings are first wednesday of each month (members encouraged to attend).

Beginning in Jan. 2008, our regular meetings will move to the new Community Center at Mercer View, 8236 SE 24th St., north of 1-90, right next to Luther Burbank Park. Our November and December meetings are held at special locations TBA.

April 2 Board Meeting, 7pm
April 10 Regular Meeting, 7pm. Community Center at Mercer View. Two speakers! Shawn Pennell of Oak Bay Marine will lead off, talking special deals at Oak Bay's resorts in British Columbia. Then Jay Field, chair of the Anacortes Fishing Derby and past president, PSA Fidalgo, will speak on Fishing Opportunities in the San Juans. Talk will cover salmon, lings, halibut, prawns, boating safety, netting and more
April 31 Board Meeting, 7pm
May 8 Regular Meeting, 7pm.Community Center at Mercer View. Our own Roger Urbaniak will lead a Shellfishing Seminar covering everything from crab and shrimp to clams, oysters, goeducks and crayfish.
May 17 Seward Park Fishing for Kids Event. Cast for Kids Foundation and Puget Sound Anglers.
May 24 Hood Canal Oyster and Clam Outing hosted by Charlie and Patty Fahsholtz
June 4 Board Meeting, 7pm
June 12 Regular Meeting, 7pm, Community Center at Mercer View. Program will be Fly Fishing Techniques by a local expert Walt Swanson. Casting demonstration on Community Center lawn. Local fly fishing opportunities will be discussed.
June 14 Lake Washington Trout Derby - Gene Coulon Park, Renton. See our web site for details!
July 2 Board Meeting, 7pm
July 8 Regular Meeting, 7pm, Community Center at Mercer View. Ingrid Spies, Ph.D., NOAA-Fisheries, will present a program on the History of Sockeye and Kokanee in the Lake Washington Drainage. Note that for this meeting only, we will meet on Tuesday and not Thursday.
